How to declutter your house?

get those big translucent plastic stackable boxes (with wheels) and start packing. Must have wheels, otherwise difficult to carry around.

smaller plastic containers (from daiso) can help also.

then put inside storeroom.

Wait till you see the number of plastic containers I have. Storeroom also not enough.

1. for letters once I see it and if no needed I will put into a plastic bag once it full throw it away
2. if your partner keep bring rubbish back and you know they won't use it throw it away for them

do a spring cleaning every 2 months

don't ask for his/her permission you know they won't use it just throw it away if still new put near the recycle bin

She didn't even noticed means she doesn't even care.

I just whack only I cannot stand it anymore.

This is the trick. Just throw it away without her knowledge. 90% of the time she will not notice.

I had a number of arguments with her over the stuff she hoard liao. I told her the store no space can we throw. She just kept quiet.

Some of these people who like to hoard things, psychologically they cannot throw the things by themselves. They simply cannot do it.

When you throw without them knowing, they are actually ok.

Anyway I am prepared to tank any wrath. I got my own wrath also.

I took the trouble to clear, spent half a day throwing. Threw out almost half of the store room, within 6-12 months, the new stuff started cluttering again.

These people have a sickness that they cannot admit to.

It's best if they overcome it themselves, otherwise the intervention is temporary nia.

Not worth it. It takes too long. I have tried it, maybe sell few items in months. The new items hoarded will clutter the space of any old items you try to sell on carouhell in no time.

Best is still to not buy. Control the buying of your hoarder.

The frustrating thing is, I actually sold a big item and 1 drawer was emptied out. I felt really good about myself. Next moment, I open the drawer, there is something in it again. It's crazy.

I envy people's house that are clean, well kept, airy, clutter free.

I detest home that has mountains of rubbish ...can't even see the four walls of the house due to rubbish.

IMHO.
Go Toyogo and buy some storage boxes. Separate your things and others things.
After 6 months, throw away others things.
If the thing is necessary, usually will be take out.
