on your wireless router, set the wifi mode to N only

mine cant connect at all.
It can connect once i switch back to auto mode in the router (aka a/b/g/n).
I wonder is it the tablet's 802.11n is broken

i realised my wireless router default wireless N to 40Mhz, which doesnt support by the Stream 7. I changed it to 20Mhz/40Mhz and it is able to connect.

If I 24/7 My Stream 7 I wonder what would happen first.
1) Battery Explode or dies from 24/7 Charging
2) IPS Screen Fades due to 24/7 Screen On
3) Tablet Overheat and got BURNT

Sian ah cannot turn off screen without going to SLEEP mode :(
This tablet really needs a Screen Off background still fully active feature.

Depends what you meant by idle stand by.
If you referring to SLEEP mode with everything in background off then it's less than 3% a day.

If you referring to idling with screen on, then it's a maybe 5-6 hours?

You cannot have screen off and background still running programs actively.

Screen off will auto go to SLEEP mode.
There is currently no work around on this.

No hiberation mode or battery saving mode in HP Steam 7 tabl... - HP Support Forum - 4810967

from what i read the batt drainage problem is sleep model.
how come you can get 3% for sleep model and there feedback about the drainage problem?
is it a common problem for stream 7? :s11:

Opps.
My 3% is shut down.
Cos no real benefits to be in sleep mode.
Cos during sleep mode, internet will cut and all other programs will stop and it will just continue to drain battery.
Just that your startup will be faster.

It takes only about 11 seconds to power up, so the benefit of shutting down outweighs the sleep mode/frequent charging.
