Most definitely can hack. HP still has that 'entrepreneurs in the garage' mentality, and they encourage jailbreaking. Or at least they don't look down on it. It's called 'homebrew'.

Webosinternals is the first place to go and get Preware. HP donated a $10,000 server to help them in their efforts. Can you imagine another company doing this?! One of the reasons I love this stuff...hehe

Don't see much product roadmap for webOS and its products.

They should be launching a slew of webOS products like how the rest of the manufacturers.

Sadly HP does have that kind of marketing/Technical muscle to do so, but I just don't get the vibe from them that webOS should continue more then it should.

HP is one of the biggest tech companies in the world suggesting that they do not have technical or marketing muscle is nonsense .. As for other web OS devices there are the palm pre phones which aren't sold in Singapore at the moment and HP is planning to take web OS to their computers.

So where is the road map of the rest of the webOS products? Even shareholders want to know!

Yes, thats what I am worry. Unless they can growth this Web OS like iPad. Otherwise we never know what is the future of this product. This Web OS machine actually available in USA for many months already. Think 1 member in HWZ bought it directly from USA.

Another reservation is HP after sales services. Seem quite bad here.

Was told Web OS is actually bought over from Palm. Not a HP original product anyway. Palm was a very nice product before these so call smartphone start to become popular. But now?

HP bought web OS from palm about a year ago. Now they gt almost no presence in Singapore .. The touch pad is a good start perhaps a little late but it still beats the crap out of 90% of all the honeycomb tablets out there at the moment

I think the good thing about TP is that it allows you to clear your data remotely . Had it for 2 weeks to play around and still did not get the video player working . Have to admit that I did not spend time and effort on that . Their Slate 500 was better build than this , too bad they decide not to release in SG .

I converted 4-5 rmvb to mp4 and all plays well. Anyhow convert 1. Using MediaConverter.
