To be frank, I would rather wait for Samsung Note 6 or Sony X since at least they have a presence here. As much as I would like to support them by buying one, they couldn't deliver. They have to go back to basics, that is to sell it cheaply and gain back market share first. The profit may be razer thin or none at all. But at least they have the critical mass and branding.

Now they want to sell high, telco doesn't want to take in as they doesn't want to provide subsidy. No critical mass no point talking. HTC is not Samsung, it is worse than Xiaomi or Oppo in terms of branding. Still want to act like big boss. They forgot what happened to Beta Max vs VHS. Being superior is of no use if you don't have the right strategy. Some more not even clear cut superior.

Sony mobile phones often have good hardware specifications but poor image rendering.

With HTC pulling off their stunt in china tells us a lot about the company. They don't want business, and china is a large market. It took a lot of complaining to force them to bring the snapdragon 820 version. I heard that they are pulling of this stunt in India as well. Snapdragon 652 & 3 GB RAM while charging a high price. I don't have good impressions of their customer service in the past. A lot of people like to bash samsung's customer service, but HTC is no better...

Just to share. Anyone interested to purchase the HTC 10 from HTC USA, use promo code HTC1011 to get $100 off. They do ship to CGW and accept international CC / PayPal.

Note: Onle silver is in stock currently.

Checked the HTC site in US store, the unlocked one they just say coming soon. Also when check the specs doesn't have band 8 LTE support, which SingTel is using. Haha. Sian.

It is a common practice for many China & overseas brands (not just phones) that they export better quality ones & sell lesser ones locally in China. Probably due to market conditions. Not saying it is the right move.

Unlike Japs, keeping good ones locally in their own market.
