I may be wrong but I can't think of any other ways except 3rd party apps or removing HTC sense completely.

Maybe you can try other home launcher apps like LauncherPro, ADW or Zeam?

Btw if u have several questions can try to consolidate into 1 post? Makes it easier for those who may want to respond and neater for the forum as well :)

lol okay, no what i meant was just change the lockscreen without removing sense.

that requires changing the framework file....

or an app like widgetlocker.

ok then will try widget locker. because i have tried some lockscreen apps like lockbot. it's totally epic fail, sometimes still can see my original htc lockscreen.

Any preferences like budget, model, or screen size? Legend and Trophy have different OS. You better do your homework and read up a bit first :)

Hi guy out there, some issues i had about rooting. As i am a noob in such things... finding it hard to understand....:(
i just download

1. hack4legendv5.zip
2. RUU 1.31 for Legend

and now.... what does the so called "goldcard" does?
the phone comes along with a 2gb card, now i need to get another card to make it a gold card? and how big does the "goldcard" needs?

where does the hack4legendv5 & RUU 1.31 for Legend applies to?:o

i need to downgrade the firmware in order to root...... but now i do not know how exactly to downgrade the software....

If you are into gaming, forget Android in my opinion. How about 3GS? Maybe now can get around that price range:s11:

1. Open setcpu
2. Go to 'about'
3. Click the link to developer's website
4. Find out there!

ok, and one question. for example i set my min 480mhz and max 700mhz. Then i force close my setcpu application. Will my processor will still be at max 700mhz? Or remains at below 600mhz? And do i need to on the apps everytime i turn on my phone? Or auto one? thanks!

All depends on the scaling you choose. Pls read the website. I think should be clear enough. There is no need to reopen the apps for every reboot. If we need to do that, don't you think it's a little too cumbersome?

yea, so from now i just on my phone normally and enjoy my overclocked phone?

And what's the ideal temperature for htc legend? cos i have seen one section mentioning temperature. like over a certain amount of temperature will trigger the notification thingy.

Seems like Froyo has officially landed in Europe. People in Europe are updating now as we speak.

Nothing for Asia yet though.

I thought it's been few weeks since Vodafone UK users received their OTA Froyo updates?

Wait no longer, root and flash official HTC ROM (Vodafone UK version)! Surprisingly for me the wireless tether seems to have better speed as compared to USB tether (maybe just my feeling) :p

Yes, vodafone subscribers got their ota about 2weeks ago but it's only yesterday that unbranded phones in europe started getting the froyo update.

Yup, but it's prob not worth the risk and extra effort to root now that the official update is going to be released any day now.
