erm guys, i noticed that got one service called obexservice under settings> application> manage services. What's that? I can observe that this thing is draining my battery life lol. Please help me!

Obex is usually Bluetooth related.

LOL, just lah. best you go buy one shirt with the pic like the previous post : Android peeing on Apple. Then walk around, best walk into apple store.

i wouldn't do that cus there are so many iPhone users wherever i go. i'm afraid i would not be able to reach home in one piece. :s13:

actually, i'm using an apple product, iPod touch. :o

how do u know it is draining ur batt life?

Ok, after i disabled the Obex service, now i plug in usb cable from phone to pc, it no longer shows the menu to choose charging , etc etc. But now it just go straight to charging mode.

wtf, same omg. actually im not those people who anti this and that. im a person who likes all brands lol.

how do u know it is draining ur batt life?

when i was playing around with my phone, i stop this service. then i checked my phone often and see the battery life still at the same percentage. even if got drop is drop 1% only. then i think my phone can make me happy already. the next day i never stop the service, i keep checking it drops faster than when i stopped it. so 100% this is the source of the battery drainage, might be more.

this is because this service is somehow link to PC sync. you need off and on your phone then it comes back again. but if you know the day you wont be connecting your phone to pc, trying stopping the service and see how it goes. hope someone could find ways to tackle this.

and i noticed only gtalkservice which is draining the battery life. the obexservice im not sure since thats for connecting to the PC via USB.

And i noticed at 8pm+ i stopped the gtalkservice (Battery level at 22%), all the way on standby mode till now, it's still at 22%.
