so i suppose you're a legend user too? hows the video and music quality?

Passed to my better half after playing with it a while. Screen as always live up to the expectations of AMOLED. Put side by side, my iPhone 3GS really pale in comparison :o

Sorry but never really try out the video and music quality. You considering to get this phone? I think it's a worthwhile purchase, Android is maturing and getting new apps and features every minute, going to overtake the market sooner or later.

I don't really play videos and audio with my 3GS even though it's supposingly a good player. The battery life is already pretty pathetic with the current gen of smartphones, no point depleting them further.

Best is still get a separate player, unless you don't mind charging your phone every half a day.

I agree with elu battery life is good enough only for normal usage. Don't make the battery suffer by playing music or videos...

I have a separate mp3 player to listen to music. :)

Screen protector - martin fields but set you back $24.95. It is a perfect fitting. For amoled screen, try not to get those anti-glare ones as it will severely reduce the contrast of the screen and negate the benefits of amoled screen.

Sound quality - definitely it is an able music player with good volume output.
As for battery life while playing media, depending on how long you use it for such purpose as well as other purposes such as wifi. My average usage for music daily is abt 30 - 45 mins with a bluetooth headset. This is excluding internet surfing which is on average about 1 hr daily. My handset will have a residual value of abt 30% by 10 pm. To me ok. This phone definitely needs daily charging.

i really like this phone, the user interface is awesome, HTC sense is a really nice software. AMOLED display is very nice, very clear but 1 thing bad is that it drain a lot of battery. if u on wifi and on 3g often, 1 day got to charge 1 time :(

aiyo, smartphones are all like that unless u got for something with super small screen like E72 or E71.

maybe try switching brightness to almost lowest? for me, it is still ok under the sun at almost lowest brightness.

another dumb question...are there any way (cept rooting) to remove most of the programs I don't use in the phone, e.g. peep/plurk, teeter etc?

i realise that i only have 142 mb of available internal mem left, and I only installed ebuddy, astro, jewellust, and raging thunder....
