got the legend 2 wks ago... have the following problems. some were mentioned by others...
- sms vibrate mode not working even set to "ON"
I reset to factory setting and problem solved. i had to do hard reset on a new phone...lol
- sometimes type on keyboard (sms, email, etc) nothing shows up. no characters, letters, nish. getting more and more freq. can be very frustrating when u wanna sms/reply fast! u'll have to wait for a min or so before the character shows up! @#$!%$
- when set to silent with vibrate mode, some times if u reboot the phone, it will vibrate and boot up the phone... BUT some times it STILL play the HTC melody which is very loud! WTF? set to vibrate it still sounded! buggy OS/SENSE?
Now the worst problem - the reception.
- WIFI is utterly weak. full bars on my iphone. 1 or at best 2 bars on legend...drops at times.
- 3G/HSPA is erratic... encountered several times where sms can't send out on the spot even with full reception. have to auto retry couple of times to send out... Net surfing is a pain when u are in the zone where it cant decide to go 2g or 3G or 3.5G(HSPA)... reception shows 2 to full bars of 3g/HSPA signal... and it still couldn't load the page. WTF??
heats up the phone and drains the batt like no tomorrow! (tip: if u turn ur phone upside down, ur reception is better! why? coz the designer decided to put the wifi attenna on top of the phone and the RF below where your palm covers it while in use!) ya, i know...coz the alu unibody will mess with the RF blah blah blah.... still, i would think the wifi and rf should switch place.
from my experience, this sexy and solid looking legend is a huge disappointment in terms of basic smartphone performance.
and the OS - Android 2.1. it has potential, but it's light years away from iphone OS in terms of stability and refinement. my almost 2yr old jb iphone 3g is more stable than the legend in all aspects!
now, who wants a legend?
edit: btw, the optical track mouse is a total failure...
