anyone experiencing poor battery life after updating to the latest firmware?

my battery used to remain at 100% overnight for about 8 hrs but after updating it will drop from 100% to 85% overnight.

last time one charge can usually last me 1-2 days but now it can barely last for 1 day.

maybe u can try getting automated apps

hmm i don't think the apps have got to do with this. i tried using systempanellite task manager to monitor the background apps and none of them had increased usage in CPU. most of the apps i have installed are games anyway, and i have my wifi and 3G off all the time unless i need to access the internet.

I just checked under manage applications and noticed my "contacts storage" is 30mb. And i have more than 10x duplicate for my contacts.

For example I am in the messaging app and type in "johnny". then Johnny's email appears in the drop down menu more than 10x repeated.

How can i solve this issue and reduce contacts storage size? I have disabled "online directories" for facebook. Only some of my contacts are synced to their FB accounts.

My battery life is still good after the latest update..

Did you update your Facebook App? There are complaints in the comment section saying that the latest Facebook update causes battery drainage.. Could be other apps too

Haha, my problem is I got mysterious contact number, example write 'johnny', got Johnny Tan, Johnny Sim, then one weird Johnny with 7 digits. I later check my address book, there is no such person in my address book!

Last time, I just restart the phone, the battery drainage went back to normal rate.

i traced the phonebook spam issue to the stupid FB update.. factory reset my phone and all is well now. not gonna use fb app till an update is out..

found out that the problem is caused by one of my apps, alarm clock xtreme. removed it and everything is well now.

HTC Sense sometimes automatically restarts when I unlock or go back to main page. Is this common?

Im using an app called No Lock to remove the lock screen everytime I press the power button. Im not sure if this affects or not. Anybody experience similar things before?
