i think what u need is google maps, which might not have been included in the gapps. try searching in the market for it.

btw, how and what do u use to overclock ur legend?

OK, will search for Google Maps in Market

Go here, download all the overclock kernels
Direct Link: http://dev.spice.net.au/legend/

Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787596

Same things, copy the kernel you want into your root directory of microsd card, go clockworkmod recovery utility, select install zip from sdcard, then select zip from sdcard, install...

Before you try the lowest kernel, install those apps you want first, then install the kernel...Run it, open many apps, close apps, do other things like surf internet, send sms, gps blah blah blah.....if no crash or reboot, then you can try install higher speed kernel

Guide to anyhow install different overclock kernels:

Example if you're using 768mhz & wanna try higher speed, same thing copy the kernel onto microsd card, then go clockwork recovery utility, just flash the kernel, no need wipe. The system will automatically overwrite the existing kernel & uses the newly installed one

hello salivaman & fatthumb,

I have something to tell you, about some bugs i found on Cynanogenmod 6 Nightly Build

1) The green or red LED will be turned on for sometime, for no reason

2) Mute function doesn't work. Here's my scenario, just now i voice called to myself (from office line), i switched on "Mute", tried knocking something & ended up the voice is still transmitted to my office phone

So far these are the two bugs i found...& have reported to the threadstarter in xda forum

Did anyone of you found any bugs on Azure 1.0.1 ROM ?

You are right bro, mute won't work (thx for the idea of testing it with office phone, haha) but the LED looks fine to me though... :)

1) doesn't happen to me. i'm not on the nightly build though.

2) haven't tried the mute function yet.

i haven't played around with it to notice any significant bothersome bugs yet lol. the only thing I found is that after charging my phone the LED is turned off instead of the usual green.

and thanks for the overclocking guide, will try that when i have more time. ;)

I have played around for quite a while. I didn't notice any disturbing bugs though, only one that you highlighted - mute function.

Btw the developer of your nightly build reply in xda dev forums that mute function should have been fixed on the nightly build. I suppose you don't use latest version (v9)?

So, let's wait for Azure 1.0.1 to be revised again, for that mute bug

Brother, thanks for your information man, i'm still using V8, only you just told me there's V9 available, i didn't know that...I'm downloading the file now, will flash it tomorrow

Thank you :D

yr S75 is a whole world of difference from yr legend. and I dun think there's such a thing for android unless it's like the EVO where the vid recording was software limited to 30fps and the xda devs removed that hack. htc cams are average at best so it's better for u to photoshop it afterwards if good quality pics is very impt to u

from what i know, the quality of the picture for custom rom is lousy compared to the stock rom. that's if you view the photo via your phone ; not sure will it be different from the stock rom's if viewed from pc

Oh, too bad there's no such apps in Android...

I also didn't know that xda forumers unlocked the software limit of 30fps in EVO

Oh, i do not want to photoshop, what i want is better quality photo, so that no need to do modification

Ya, you told me before that photo quality in custom ROM is worst than stock ROM

I thought photo quality is more or less the same, it's just that we don't have some of the stock ROM camera functions (i.e. touch to focus).

Yesterday I read change log for CM6.1 (coming), looks like the CM team will incorporate some of those soon :s12:

Have you flashed v9? Some people in XDA-dev forums reported frequent re-booting with v9. You better read first, v9 may not be better after all :s13:

I'm quite content with Azure ROM though :D

Brother,

I have not install V9, but have already downloaded the ROM. Thanks for the info, which you have read in XDA forum

Like that good la, since you are contented with Azure

I'm waiting for hackers to incorporate Android V3.0 (Gingerbread OS) into Legend Froyo OS too, so that we can utilise it as well

No problem!
Gingerbread is still long way to go man, even our "Froyo" still not perfect yet. Features maybe incorporated but the Gingerbread itself I'm quite pessimistic (don't forget processor limitation too).

In (near) future probably upgrading to Desire HD (or newer device) will be much better (but will burn another hole in your pocket) :s13:

Gingerbread OS minimum requirement matters

Agree with you, Froyo still not perfect yet

i worry Gingerbread got hardware minimun expectation (just like Windows 7 Phone OS)....If Gingerbread cannot be installed onto our Legend, then have to burn pocket, get a better hardware specs phone liao
