I felt u bro. It happened to me during my days with M7. Their service center was still located @ Habour Front back then. 4 repairs due to gaps and purple tint and 2 exchange due to faulty sets. All these incidents happened within a year. Their service wasn't up to basic expectation either. I switched to Sony after a year with HTC.
BTW it seems most companies are unable to provide decent after sales services in SG.
Yup, our lemon law is so weak and the post sales service is lacking, especially if you compare to US.
Nevertheless, certain brands do perform a little better than others in SG.
From personal experience:
Fruity:
-iphone 6
-top of pack
-extremely expensive
-easiest to request 1 for 1 exchange provided you meet criteria
-2-3 work days for replacement
-used for 1 month, proven auto shut down, inconsistent battery
Sammy:
-S7 edge
-second
-almost as expensive^
-with concierge, quite easy if meet criteria (i was rejected on 1st request but i countered that I bought concierge and it is a valid tech fault)
(not sure how is it without concierge)
-on the spot exchange
-used for 3 days, proven extremely long wireless charging time
Nokia:
-I think its Lumia 950 (aka icon) 3years ago
-the service centre dude is darn attitude
-but they did 1 for 1 within a week without me doing anything further
-waited for 1 week
-used for 2 weeks, proven poor screen installation flaw
HTC:
-U11
-Poor communication between helpchat, call centre and service centre
-took almost 2 whole weak for 1 for 1 exchange (how can we be left without a proper phone nowadays and we are looking at a flagship model)
-with coaxing via call & social media (FB)
-used for 2.5 days, auto shutdown & power on issue
ASUS:
-Transformer phone (the one that can insert onto tablet), 4 years ago?
-the service center outright play with words and trickery and wasted my time and leaves
-took me almost 5 months for a 1 to 1 exchange after I consistently blasted their FB and CS email in both English and Chinese
-used for 5 days, found installation flaw with tablet screen
The ASUS one is a freaking nightmare!
