The old QuickPic may no longer be compatible with Oreo OS, and the CM QuickPic had way too many annoying ads. I personally use Simple Gallery that works similarly to CM QuickPic, minus ads.

SwiftKey also replaced the stock-loaded Google Keyboard in my previous device (Sharp Z2) and now is used in the HTC U11+ as well. It is pretty useful if you're used to Customize the way you want your keyboard to be used.

Touchpal I can't find the Swype function so no go.

Swiftkey seems nice. Am trying Google pinyin keyboard. May change to Swiftkey if Google does not live up to my expectations.

Meanwhile I encountered something weird. I disabled the photos app and use the old quickpic as my main gallery app. When I try to go to my gallery while in the camera app, I can't! Anyone with the same issue?

Actually Power Saving Mode does these (it's written in the Settings App):
- Reduces Brightness
- Reduces CPU Usage
- Restricts Location Services (GPS)
- Disables Haptic Feedback (Vibration)
- Restricts App Data Syncing until you open those apps.

Hope that helps.

Any bro know what is being turned-off when Power Saving mode is been enabled. From my observation
- Screen is dimmer
- Vibration is off

Like I said, if you don't have the capability to possess a Debit/Credit Card to purchase one online from web shops (like I am unfortunately), which not only needs credit card/debit card payment but also added chargeable shipping costs and time to wait (unless you're an Amazon Prime Member in Amazon's case). In addition, you need to really know how to apply without breaking the glass (which needs experienced hands to do properly). Add to the limited number of people who actually own the HTC U11+ here (and using it) and you have a potentially deadly mix of rarity + exotic-ness + lack of reliable support for accessories.

I thought to do screen capture is to press both power button and vol down key simultaneously? Then it will ask when you want to do with the capture.

Mine is also updated to 1.24.400.4 this morning, local set.

Updated mine to 1.24.400.4 as well just a while ago. Find animations and notification pull down very sluggish. Only animations seems not smooth anymore.

So far performance around the same. Not really sure what are the big fixes. Will evaluate battery life in the next few days. Will clear my cache and review.

EDIT : After clearing cache, the animations seems back to normal. Smooth!

Thanks for the replies, just bought mine and I noticed my battery drop to 97% after my first full charge once I unplugged my cable. It also says "discharging" in the battery settings which seems odd to me. Anyone know what could it be?

Other than that all seems smooth and brightness level is acceptable to me so far in outdoors

Discharging simply means you are not charging your phone and your phone is consuming power from the battery.
