actually i think, correct me if i am wrong, the sample of pasting it on the bacj cover was done on an iphone which users are unlikely able to change the cover here and there. But for huawei or galaxy S2 if u paste on the cover than its like pasting on the casing anytime can just change.

u bought from telco? your camp dont accept the receipt? So meaning to say once u upgrade to ICS its considered rooted? if using MIUI???

ics != rooted

root or not, depends on your rom.. if u are using the roms from huaweidevice site, those are official roms, and they are not rooted..

if u are using miui or cm7, etc, those are custom roms, and most of them are already rooted..

the ppl at my camp are not well informed about the latest security details, so there are some delays in getting the sticker..

if i get the cert, then i can show guardhouse the cert instead of the sticker.. i think it might be easier getting the cert than the sticker considering how fk up saf is...

Hmm I saw one post here where the guard personnel refuse to give MSD sticker bcos there's no cert. So what is the procedure to get the Huawei cert?

Oh my... I think you wrote that u emailed huawei, right? And i recall the starhub staff saying there's a huawei service centre at Cathay. I surfed the net and found three places to contact Huawei:

i emailed huawei to request for the cert.. they replied with the procedure to get the cert.

U got to get it from you USO( Unit Security Officer) New sets might come with the cert, telco set i think still doesnt come with it. U will need a telco receipt and the form printout from the directives completed before u get your USO to issue u the stickers.

I think for them still must use non camera phone or lock their phone in the locker provided. THis sticker is provided for in-service personnels only, cos it does state that if u leave the service u have to let the USO knows as well for recording purposes. If they issue to civilians or contractors i think very hard for them to do accounting and checks should the guy leave his company.
