I installed the 2 package, first was smooth, only the 2nd vendor package stuck at a big OK have to remove battery to reboot. However the stupid camera app is still there. Other than that smooth operation. Wonder if that will void the security sticker since the camera app is still there.

the camera app should be gone after installing the 2nd package. your lock screen swipe left shortcut is camera or silence phone?

Camera, I have updated the firmware twice. Just to confirm,
1. first you copy the main package to dload folder in SD card root than update.

2. 2nd delete the first main package and copy the 2nd Vendor package and apply update right?

I have done the above twice already and yet the bloody camera icon at lock unlock screen and inside phone still there, only this tiny problem other than that all is smooth.

your pull down menu got the wifi bluetooth gps shortcuts? if no that means the 2nd package wasn't successful.

The link you provided is not valid
This is the correct one '+'Software'+' - '+'Huawei Device Co., Ltd..'+'

Select smartphone from pull down menu than select Huawei Honor on the next pull down menu

Apparently there are two firmware version, one for Camera and one for Non Camera. The link provided by Huawei's Facebook link is for camera version which I downloaded hence the reason why the camera icon is not removed.

I have check the phone just after installing the main update package without next installing the vendor package and it looks normal everything is there slide left is silent the phone and slide right is unlock. once inside the phone the short cuts are also available on the pull down menu.

Next I installed the Vendor package but somehow I really can't tell any difference.

Can someone try to do a strain-test on the ICS? Open multiple prog, like browser, flipboard, facebook, music, etc. spending about 1 - 2 mins on each app. Then see if your experience with the phone starts to stutter or slow down?
