Hi
Can share where you bought your folio keyboard and your M5 pro ?

Hi,

From burlington sq...onlybopen on weekdays (1pm to 9p30pm)
They still have 1 unit (the last time i see)
Confirm you really did managed to connect your mediapad m5 pro to your monitor ? via type c to HDMI or VGA.

Cos i read in another forum that says Huawei disabled video output, type c to HDMI... That sounds disappointing as i wanted to project to the bigger screen when working on documents at home.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m5/help/video-output-t3780628

Have you tried remote desktop to say office PC ?
Does that work via the desktop mode?
Yes...i use desktop mode with through the folio keyboard
1. excel....exp on a 10.8" is kinda small as compared to 14" or 15" thus no as well. However, better than virtual keyboard (screen)
2. Word...do not see issue (no heavy template)
3. Powerpoint...had not tested

My monitor is old...so needs lots of conversion.
I had seen review whereby type c cable was used...(just not sure the monitor end)

After using 2 tyoe of case..
Standard usage, no keyboard prefet. The folio keyboard takes up space (surfave area) and it is not practical to fild it
Many typing, keyboard folio. Full keyboard is better than screen....and the mouse pad is nicr

Hi all, can any bros who have the tablet check if your set has this issue as well? I'm using the Mediapad M5 Pro.

Basically on my set there is a problem with the touchscreen whereby when making small adjustments, changing directions with small movement will cause the touchscreen to hang and cause the touch input to jump a few pixels.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm trying to figure if this is a hardware or software issue thanks!

My lag or dont reponse in some area issue is after i press hard on the screen
Why i do it? Due to the folio keyboard...i hold the screen with the keypad hanging (like a laptop)

The test that u shown...will be tricky
1.app drawer...best chance to state case
2. Games ...could be due to gpu ptocessibg
3. Desktop mode ...could b from desktop mode...there is an attached keyboard or mose?

If i use the M pen then i am able to make small adjustments without the screen skipping, so it shouldn't be a problem with the app.

I'm quite certain it's a software issue maybe with regards to the palm rejection configuration but I would just like to check to confirm if it happens on other sets.

Did you try on your tablet to see if it gets the same problem if you use your finger to scroll through pages but very slowly and changing directions from left to right or up to down as I've shown in the video?

My m5 going crazy. Last night charged 100 percent. Power on. Now I want to power on total flat. Anyway to check which app is causing the draining of the tablet?

Agree. Battery drain of M5 is the worst from the tablets I have owned. M3 was amazing. If I don't touch M3 and only WiFi is enabled, it last more than 1 week. If I use it, I need to charge once in a few days.
I need to charge M5 more than once in a day, though I use it heavily. It's almost same as phone.

I got mine from Hk when I was there last week.

Wanted to get M5 10.8 inch 32gb wifi but no stock, it is also in China variation (No Google) as well.

Hence, i got the next best alternative. M5 Pro 10.8, 64gb, Wifi @ S$580. With Google.

my LTE M5 8.4 inch has no SIM card inserted yet.
however, i noticed in the battery setting, some power was spent on mobile network (not WiFi).
i then turned on the airplane mode, and allowed only WiFi during daytime.
the battery now last 1.5-2 days, from ~1 day.
my usage is about 30 mins gaming, 30 mins netflix, 30-60 mins ebooks.
Screen brightness about 30-40%, on auto-adjustment.
I have to say, this M5 is a battery drainer.

mine if don't use for 1 to 2 days, the battery will drop around 40%. so 20% a day? is it normal?

I thought so. after all, it's not much different from a phone is it?

LTE 8.4

When you don't use it, do you leave the wifi on the device on? Because from what I know the wifi drain on the mediapad is horrendous.

So my workaround is to leave set the setting "Keep wifi on during sleep" to "Never", and my standby drain is only 1% overnight after that.

Not really.

A typical phone has about 3000+ mAh battery, and that comes with 1 day of usage.
M5 8.4 has 5,100 mAh battery. And so I would expect the battery to last longer, and on par with iPad mini.

Just head to the settings page and type "Keep wifi on during sleep" in the search bar inside the settings page.
