EU tax is f. high.

Mate series traditionally always start at the same price forever, S$898 thereabouts. 8 and 9 is that price already. Pro is never sell before officially, but price can't be higher than other flagship. So I don't see any disastrous high price.

Hmmm for that price i rather buy pixel XL 2 sia, overall better phone. But let's see if they have anything store for us besides the huge battery

Mate 9 that is about 1 year old is only S$590 now. So it is much more value for money if one is not too keen on the AI and marginally faster processors.

The best is to hands on after the launch based your main usage and compare prices. Specs and real world performance can be quite different.
