Could be because of the Android version update that cause some issues. Usually it's best to factory reset after a major Android version upgrade.

Try going to Support app and go to Update, may trigger the update from there.

You should have done a backup before the update. I make sure I have a backup in Huawei cloud.

I took a risk and update it. Fortunately nothing is wrong. Looks better and like a new phone. I hope it doesn't impact the battery life. But security is my top priority .

Nah. Still using
It's a great phone. I like the broader screen compared to the longer phone nowadays.
Use 2 years battery life still v good.
3.5mm jack audio output v good also.
Camera no wide angle, otherwise still does the job.
Now new phone give me 5g and some insane speed and graphics power I don't need. Talk about overselling.

If this spoil, I'm picking up a Samsung s10 plus.

I think it's because majority of Huawei phones now come with notch, so notification popups are designed to show below the status bar. However, phones without notch like Mate 10 can show notification popups covering the status bar as it doesn't have notch display.

Huawei probably standardise the notification popup to show below the status bar for all EMUI 10 devices, because it will take extra effort to optimise for non-notch display devices. Also, the extra effort may not be worth as there's only a couple of Huawei handsets that don't have notch display, with majority now feature notches.

I enabled it in the Mobile Data menu section, at the WiFi Calling part.

How do i make the wifi icon under the notification panel show the network name also?

Used to have that in EMUI 9.
