I mean, Samsung note uses stylus while their s series doesn't. but Huawei mate series looks just like an enlarged p series... yes? otherwise the specs are similar? only the screen size is different?

traditionally, mate vs P: generally, P innovates on camera and screen, Mate innovates on CPU

Differences are chassis, form factor, camera, resolution.

However this time round, seems to be different.

it seems like both mate and P shares the same camera, same chipset, same form factor? not sure what u mean by chassis but to me the mate is like P+ (with bigger screen) as s8 is to s8+ except s8+ not = note 8 since no stylus.

so the line between mate and P is really blur... kinda wondering if it's worth waiting for P11 next year or get the mate 10 once it's out next month.

Should compare the exact phones when released for specific features differences. The series thing is more a general marketing classification, clearly Mate more towards business and P more towards lifestyle and design. In the end, the phones still fulfills either way.

rumours state that there will be no P11, and will be replaced by P20, and the P20 will have yet another new CPU. However, I don't think even Huawei itself has made any final decisions on this, with uncertainty and a large amount of time (about 6 months or more) between launches.

So from what i understand, in terms of raw power, the mate 10 is the same as the mate 10 pro?

Only difference is Camera quality?

Not talking about aesthetics (eg: where the fingerprint scanner is located)
