The AI probably takes up some processing time to learn your habit. Over some time it should work faster. Wait for more reviews to compare first. At just under $900 with freebies, Mate 10 is very reasonably priced.

No when i say sluggish, i am not talking about any user specific operations. Opening the app drawer from home screen or opening the settings from home screen like these basic operations.

Haha I guess it's subjective, I mind alot on this aspect actually. I like the solid tok tok feel when I type on the soft keyboard and on the capacitive keys. Like the s8 plus and note 8, or even before that, htc m8.

ic ic, my issue with the mate 9 is really the screen, very prone to scratches if use without screen protector (which i did for only a few days and noticed many hairline scratches)... I realized it was only gorilla glass 3, not the latest 5.

Mate 10 Pro selling in China Nov 15.

6GB+64GB: ¥4899 (~$1006)
6GB+128GB: ¥5399 (~$1109)

Singapore's Mate 10 retail price is ~$100 more than China's price so the 128GB Pro variant selling here should be $1188.

Just got to play with the Mate 10 and got to agree with some of the initial impressions here -phone looks and feels underwhelming. It feels a little plasticky and not to the high build quality of the mate 9 or P10 series. Phone feels warm and UI seems rather sluggish too. Screen seems a bit washed out. Another observation is that the selfie cam now no longer has autofocus.

IMHO, the real deal is actually the Mate 10 Pro to match the flagship quality and price of other handphone brands like Apple and Samsung

Mate 10 could be just the lite version of the actual 2017 flagship phone, but it is still a very good phone nonetheless.

The NPU and AI programming must have been quite expensive to develop, so Huawei wants to move up the pricing.

same here. just try it out at best. the glass back is very sticky and feels "cheaply" made. and its very warm especially on the power button. probably due to continuous plug-in to charge

the UI really seems sluggish and kinda laggy. for the camera, didnt see the AI detecting icon (flower/pet etc)

when im holding it, it just left 5% battery..just clicking around and using camera for like few minutes and then it shut off...
