quite a snappy and power lasting phone.

but my tronsmart quick charger wasn't able to super charge the phone.


the wall charger output(Quick Charge 3.0) is DC 3.6V-6.5V/3A, 6.5V-9V/2A, 9V-12V/1.5A.

anyone know what is the specs for super charge?

also, how do I turn off the notification sound?

say when I'm sleeping, I wanna turn off the incoming msgs sound, but I want the incoming call to ring.

I believe this is a common problem for all phones and computers. I am not very sure what is your definition of fast, but the more apps you install and more storage you use, the device will eventually drop to a sustainable state. Even Apple devices will start slowing down after some time even without them throttling it.

Because they spend more and more on marketing each year in face of competition. Hardware wise, I doubt it is that expensive even including R&D.

My is simple, just don't lag is fast. Read that it will be like the first day I use the device even after months of usage, if that's true, that's fast to me

use Do not disturb mode and change the settings inside to allow calls. you can also allow certain app to ring under Do not disturb mode, by going into the notification setting of the app and tick the priority notification.

Update! A bit long winded, so pls bear with me.

Called the Huawei Hotline last evening to enquire about the theme app issues. Was told that theme app should work normally with downloadable themes. Asked me to go to the service centre @ 313. So today i went down to Huawei Service Centre.

When i was there, the counter staff told me that it should work and show me the huawei test set that the app is indeed working and filled with lots of downloadable themes. She requested to reboot my phone and i had to wait for almost 2 hours for it.

Upon collection, the problem wasn't resolved! and another technician came to access the phone. After meddling with the phone, He then informed me that Local Mate10 set was software blocked to receive themes from the app! I was shocked to hear that and asked him why the test set and my mate9 (brought it with me) are able to do it. He was equally stunned and started to talk nonsenses like... my mate9 is export set! (singtel set) and the Huawei test set is for testing only. Also he claimed all local xiaomi phones also are blocked to download themes. I gave up soon after i know he is just finding excuses and he is totally clueless. However he did tell me that he will investigate and get back to me. At that point of time, i was already utterly disappointed with Huawei SC.

So in conclusion, Local set (mate10 or pro) cannot download customize themes from the reloaded theme app. Thanks for reading.

I recalled I was able to download and applied themes from the theme app. Although, I'm not using any now since I've switched to Nova and icon pack plus my phone also debloated. I've the m10 pro btw. I guess you've already factory reset the phone and still hv this problem? Which FW on ur phone?

I used my Mate 9 since Jan/Feb last year and it still feel as fast to me now, as when I first got it.

Should put them as manual, and only selectively set autolaunch for critical apps like WhatsApp etc.

In this case you will need Sony phone for that. I had been Sony user for Z1, Z2 and Z5 Premium. Even Z1 also has not dropped speed by much. But all 3 phones also 3GB Ram...So maybe difference is not noticeable.

it comes with a type-c earpiece, which u can directly plug it in into your phone. there is also a type-c to audio jack adapter just in case you want to use your own earpiece.

tbh this is the part i like huawei the most: remove the audio jack, but give u a type-c earpiece. so far i think they are the only one who doing this.

I think it all boils down to your expectation of the device. On a day to day usage, I don't think you will feel any difference between what you experienced on day one vs after 2 or 3 months. If you are running things like benchmarks, then it's possible to see numbers regress as you install more and more apps. I have used the M10P for almost 2 months now, but I have never feel that it's slower. I also try to avoid installing apps that I don't use to mitigate unnecessary overhead to the SOC and risk of installing apps with malware.

All should be managed automatically except for a few that got delayed in notifications or got killed I'll hv them manually managed. There is also another place that apps can totally remove from the optimization but I wouldn't suggest u do that unless it's necessary

Ok bro. Mine was set all to manual launch. Guess i will try auto launch and test out the battery life
