Hi all, looking to buy the mate 10 next week. Any chance that the prices will drop anytime soon?
Also, it is currently retailing at $888 at large electronics stores such as harvey Norman etc but only $750 at those small hp shops. From what I know the warranty is still backed by huawei, but is there any reason why its much cheaper and should i avoid getting it from those smaller shops?

Dun think it will drop soon since there's no new models coming out. Probably Feb / March but doubt it will be drastic.

888 is the recommended retail price, where selling at that price gives max profit and margin. 750 is the street price, whereby the small hp shops are willing to forgo some profits to get you to buy from them. Else no point going to them and pay in cash when you could earn some credit card points from bigger stores right?

I see, so technically there is no diff in the product and warranty that you will receive from both kinds of stores?

Anyone tried the new firmware? After firmware finder updated to newer version, my firmware search only left with 128 and 129...

The 128 listed, I am not sure if it's for c636....

bro, having using v20, i would the UI is really laggy. the batt life is sucky as well.

v20 using AMOLED also has image retention.

anyone can share their experience with the camera/display of the Mate 10 Pro?

Torn between this and the V30 though the screen problems of the V30 is really holding me back on it. Saw some reviews about the Mate 10 Pro's camera being relatively subpar, but I also saw comments that an update has brought improvements to the camera. anyone care to share? :D

V30 is the first Lg phone to use poled. Their own iteration of oled. AMOLED is Samsung's

Anybody have experience with both op5t and m10p? Contemplating between these 2. It's hard to decide

There are couple of teething issues with the One Plus 5T from my perspective,
1) No local warranty - mainly parallel imports
2) Privacy seems to be a constant issue with this brand - This is my main concern. I suspect they sell the device cheaper and make extra by selling user data.

What is teething issue? Warranty is one of my concern too. :(

One thing i like abt the camera, it has document scanner being Incorporated. Helps to make any document or biz card neatly cropped.

Pretty good for the 3mm jack.
Funny thing is the Hiseten sound effects only start up if you go into Settings > Hiseten.

It doesn't auto turn on when you start your music.

Speaker wise not very loud but definitely better than non stereo ones like Samsung.

I thought about that, but at least I have not heard of people complaining about Huawei sending data to the likes of Alibaba's server so far. One Plus have been caught many times.

You are right. I would also stay away from this brand.
