Huawei Mate 10

I'm pretty sure its not a hardware problem as well as I had 2 sets of M10P replaced and same problem. I'm no software expert so I can't really comment on this but so far I'm seeing this issue with my Singtel Arcadyan router. The Asus router I have in my hostel is not giving me any problems. Looks I'm not going home LOL.
Just keeping my fingers crossed that a firmware update can solve the issue. If not then change to a P20? Who knows

I feel this is a problem with almost all phone makers expect for Google's brand. Huawei is kind of tied with Samsung when it comes to speed for releasing firmware.

Hmm one of the reasons I bought Huawei was their promise of faster update .... But then ... Seems like they are just slightly faster than Samsung only .... Guess just way of promoting their brand

The device got project treble, can install aosp rom and get the latest security update but you will lose all the huawei EMUI features especially the camera app.

There are pros and cons to a fast update. Nothing beats Google Pixel and iPhones when it comes to updates. However, early adopters run the risk of botched firmware. Google and iPhone for example updates very frequently, but breaks things faster as a result.

Don't get me wrong, as I have nothing against a fast firmware update. Just that recent trends made me a little more cautious about these fast updates.

I definitely enjoy the pro more than the con of having fast update... Haha... If they release update fast, people can choose not to update if they don't trust it. But it at least give people like me a chance to try the update ASAP.

P20 is new. Not surprising that there is not much offer post the pre-order.

Having said that, with the release of P20 series, the worth of Mate 10 will surely take a pounding considering that they are very closely priced.

640 is much reasonable for a flagship 6 months old and consider the performance, the price/performance ratio is higher than any flagships on the market now.

I think the main thing you probably should consider is the whether you like EMUI first .. rather than the price , haha

I am not too picky about the UI.. I think ..can always root and tweak right ? It get Telco set worth it ? Someone offer $600..any risk on the warranty ? Tks!
