Wah so fierce ah haha.

Maybe it*********s just an android thing right?

Cause iPhone can go for 1 whole month never restart everything is still fast.

Android seems to naturally slow down a bit over time, but once restart everything back to normal.

You can define a schedule to auto restart everyday.
It's better for Android to restart daily.

M10 Pro has a bad design for me. Fingerprint scanner is underneath.

yup, I agree with that, I also like those phones with the fingerprint scanner.

Just wanna know how does the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro compares on other features.

User usage pattern maybe. I also didn't do any restart if not necessary..

I'm user of both, I prefer mate 10 over mate 10 pro.

1. Screen can be dimmer on mate 10 than mate 10 pro. Suitable with dark environment.

2. Finger print sensor in front, better to unlock while laying on table.

3. Screen is 16:9. Much more resolution to choose from. 2k, full HD and HD. Mate 10 pro only full HD+ and HD.

4. Expandable memory in Mate 10. (Pros and cons if vs 128GB memory in mate 10 pro).

5. Headphone jack

Only cons
1. No IP 67 water proof. And headphone jack cannot get wet otherwise it is show "earphones jack in use" icon.

I also hate finger print scanner at the rear, but a lot of tech reviewers bash phones with FS infront, not a huge fan of bezel-less anyway.

Your phone no slow down if no restart?

Mine is ok, all apps still snappy, only camera become very slow to launch. But restart immediately back to snappy for camera as well.

Btw, does your M10 memory seem to leak overtime?

Like after a fresh restart, with all apps cleared, the memory is say 2.4GB free.

Using it for like 1 week plus it slowly drops to only 1.2-4GB free after clearing apps.

And the camera takes like 4 seconds to be ready lol, but after restart ok liao.

This should be normal behavior. If you leave the desktop on and don't shutdown, it will eventually sap up ram over time since things gets cache in there.

I do this actually. First it saves battery overnight, and it also helps ensure a speedy phone in the morning.

This is a personal preference. I am used to a front facing scanner, but no issues getting used to the rear facing scanner on this phone. Rear facing scanners can be a problem for those that drive and like to put their phones on the holders. Otherwise, I don't see a lot of reason why it is not good since it is just a matter of getting used to.

Mate 10 is wide and long. Need a long index finger to reach unless they site the scanner in the centre

Yes it's a matter of preference for the user. At the broader level it's user intuition. It is not smooth to have it behind really and it just take 1 no no to not buy it for a user

I am not sure why is it not intuitive when the scanner is at the back. I think it is a natural position when you are holding the phone in your hand. Even if the scanner is at the front bottom, it is also not easy for one hand operation.

Really subjective. I moved from Mate 10 to Mate 10 Pro to P20 Pro... Still like the fingerprint reader at the back. For me it is intuitive.

Thank you so much for the review, greatly appreciate it.
By the way is there a difference between the mate 10 and mate 10 pro camera? And is the difference big if there is any?

i personally prefer it to be on the front, because most of the time, my phone is resting on the table. it's much more convenient to just tap the scanner to wake the screen up/go to home screen.

by the way i'm using m10pro. still thinking if want to change to p20pro (partly because of the 3x/5x camera)... price is still quite high in the streets.
