Cos all phones usually overcharge, likely due to battery calibration. If you notice your devices all stay at 100% longer before it starts dropping fast.
This applies to Apple devices and laptops too.

If it was my previous Sammy phone, then yes I will agree that it will start dropping fast, even when the phone was still new. But it doesnt really drop fast for my Mate 10... by the end of the next day I would still have around 70+%.

Guys, my Mate 10 only lasted 3 hours 50 mins SOT.. of which 1.5 hours is spend playing brawl stars.. seems rather poor battery life to me?

I am still getting more than 10hrs SOT according to Accbattery. Battery still rocks after more than 7 months.

Hi Mate 10 user, my contract is due. Very interested in getting this phone. Read and searched online that auto brightness cannot be forced off. May i know if this issue has been solved with latest firmware upgrade? Or is there a permanent work ard fix? This kind of hold me back. I had a sony phone which has similar issue. Need to root to work ard. Thanks! Hope someone can share some light.

I have been using non pro since launch. No issues with auto brightness. Always leave it at around 45% mark and never need to adjust regardless of the environment.

As in it will automatically change brightness when using apps like fb or chrome, etc. even if auto brightness is disabled.

Have you tested the same game on another phone? As mentioned, gaming sucks a lot of battery since the SOC is under load and the screen is always on. In most cases, data is also actively transmitted. It also depends on how properly optimized are the games/ apps that you run. I've played games on my iPad that is so power hungry that I can lose 40% of the battery in about an hour of game play.

Strangely I don't experience it. I do noticed that once in awhile, sudden increase or decrease in brightness. But so far, I only observed it happening about 5 times since I purchased my Mate 10 Pro last year.

U probably need to recalibrate ur battery. Mine also can last for whole day. 100% in the morning..by midnight still have around 30%.

No such issue for my Mate 10. The only time auto brightness will be re-checked and I have to manually uncheck it is when I reboot the phone. Otherwise there's no need to tinker with it once auto brightness is set off. Brightness within apps themselves didn't get adjusted on their own.

Discharge battery completely (allow phone battery to run flat and switch off by itself) then fully charge the battery.
