Although the phone is LTE CAT 21 and 5G-ready it's still NOT a 5G phone because the modem is NOT a 5G modem

BTW, will the use of TG screen protector reduce the in-screen fingerprint sensitivity? Is there a button to enable to enhance the sensitivity (like the S9/S9+) because of the TG screen protector?

Thought 5G is just done the final spec and the first base station utilize 5G spec is not even commerically available?

Top spec apple XS Max can get 2 mate 20 already.

480GB SD card plus one phone also no need 2k.
So this is purely leveraged on the brand effect itself.
Just like PD version, spec similar to pro but 2x the price.

I don't mind that actually. Have been holding off getting a Note as the slot is always on the RIGHT side of the phone whereas I'm a left hander, so it's awkward for me to use.

I'll probably use a case with a slot for the pen though.

I still believe Apple A12 processor will beat the one in Matw 20 and 20 Pro.

the A series chip is great also thanks to someone called Jim Keller.

Same like Mac 20 years ago when they are using customized chip made together with IBM and Motorola, of course the Adobe Photoshop runs much faster. 20 years later, they uses Intel and all those advantages were gone.

Pen holder is easy to resolve la. Just wondered why they don't do the same like Note series...at least more convenient

Already cheaper than apple by 1K is insane with these features. This will definitely keep Apple in check. Let see the numbers for the next 6 months when P30 pro is announced. Now by tech Apple is at least 1 year behind. This is why I am ditching Apple for now.

If I really want to spend over 2K for a mobile phone, I might as well go for Mate 20 RS... that looks damn cool

Not a fan of using a pen so no pen is not an issue to me. Looks weird when I saw someone using a pen writing on a 6inch phone (probably Samsung Note). My old eyes cant do it haha

Proprietary tech of Huawei for now... under SGD1 per GB seems OK for new techs to me. Will definitely max it out at 256GB

anyone confirm mate 20 is 4gb or 6gb ram?
4/128 is EUR799, 6/128 is EUR849.
both CNA and HWZ reporting is 6gb..

Also why comparing prices w apple? top spec RS more ex than highest apple version

well according to the hardwarezone editor, the mate 20 X is reserved for china. I noticed it seems to be available for european country as well.

For me mate 20 X seems like a good buy.

Huawei will be releasing a 5G phone mid next year with the same Kirin 980 processor but with a 5G modem

How expensive can storage be? Need to hit 2k? Samsung Note 9 512GB don't even hit 2k. Maybe iPhone uses a different kind of storage quality, but 2k? Even their 64GB selling for 1.5k outside. A 2k phone cannot even implement in-screen fingerprint. Chop carrot la Apple.
