I only have singtel sim. How is the firmware dependent on the telco?

Telco have customised firmware if u noticed it at the software setting. Just borrow a family member or friend SIM card of another telco to try.

Preferably M1 since mine is M1 and my first and second m20pro were.126

Just got Mate20 pro from m1. Boe panel. Very nice phone but memory management seems very very aggressive.

Yes, agreed that ram management can be aggressive. So for apps which needed to be preserved you may have to :-

(1) Non-optimise then under Settings > Apps > Apps > Special Access > Battery optimisation > choose Not allowed for your desired apps; then

(2) Go to Settings > Battery > App launch > and uncheck or detoggle manage automatically for the desired apps.

Yes, agreed that ram management can be aggressive. So for apps which needed to be preserved you may have to :-

For those who exchanged their m20pro, is your warranty status same as before? Because my hicare says mine ended yesterday wth.

Very aggressive means what ah?

Means that some apps in the multi-task list got refreshed and have to start from scratch when i tap to open them again.... Just this HWZ forum app when i was still in a thread and then i go to other apps and come back to HWZ app it goes into home page instead of my last view thread.

Also apps that draw over other apps may not stay put.

it's their way of improving battery life.

just manually manage those u really want them to be always in background lor.

They told me that mine will end on the day of purchase (28 Oct 2020) as what they told me. However I also read that for some the warranty ends on the day of exchange?

For those who exchanged their m20pro, is your warranty status same as before? Because my hicare says mine ended yesterday wth.

Same, the customer service representative told me that my warranty will end on the year 2020 and showed it to mw on her screen. But i asked her to search my phone in their system via the IMEI and show me the warranty, but she couldn't find my warranty. Although there was a record shown that I changed my phone due to the green tint issue. I fugured there might be a delay or error in their system in showing the updated warranty of the new phone? I'm not sure.. It's obviously impossible to have a warranty end date of the same year and month of the date of purchase since the phone should have a 2 year warranty..

why did you guys decide on m20 instead of the m20p?
i like the wireless charging and IPrated of the m20p.
but the no 3.5mm jack is abit turnoff.

For me M20 has a bigger screen and it's flat. I personally hate the curved sides on the Pro. Pro also too narrow and long for me. Feels weird.

yeah its so weird. I'll probably call them up next week or smth. Spent too much time on this green tint thing ald

i prefer the teardrop notch on the m20 also.

btw, the m20 has wireless charging?

Mate 20 night shot differ very much to P20 pro and mate 20 pro? Deciding between mate 20 and P20 pro. If night shot not too bad, then might go for mate 20... :D

Not so sure of Mate 20, but I found the P20 Pro superb, maybe even better than M20P

This is true. I use Rotationa app to customize auto rotate per app but gets killed fast by the ram management. Worked great on the pixel xl

I exchanged my device too, but my warranty is correctly displayed in the HiCare app. Expiring in 2020. Give it a while, I just checked for the first time today (few days after exchange). Maybe it changes a while later.
