Received a mate 20 pro as a gift the day before, and used it without a screen protector. To my horror there was so many scratches after one day of light use :(

I have contacted Huawei and they said they can replace the screen for me FOC.

Going forward, which kind of screen protector should I get? A full curved screen adhesive type? Those "liquid" types?

And will all these curve screen protectors affect casings, for example a UAG one?

Much thanks!!!

Ya I agreed. It might be some hard metal item that scratch your phone. I used my mate 20 without screen protector for 1 week and no scratches at all. When you purchase a screen protector, be sure to ask the person if it can fit with a case. Certain screen protectors are not compatible with cases because they cover too much of the sides.

Is $590 for Mate 20 a reasonable price?

Yup, I bought one brand new at $590 from Mobilesquare two days ago. I love the big screen and am totally blown away by the night shot capability. Compared to my P20, the night shots seem cleaner....

Thanks planning to get Mate 20 for my mum cos not many 18:9 aspect ratio phone screens around. You don't mind the lcd screen? I personally prefer amoled so using Mate 20X but not blown away by the camera.

This looks like default color for Mate20p darken interface.

It's actually the darken interface settings under Battery Optimisation for Mate 20X.

Setting up a new Mate 20 and my mum finds that the white background of the drop down menu quite glaring so trying to find a way to change it.

I believe all the Mate 20 series should have the same Darken interface. As I m using Mate20P, same darken interface.
