I bought bcos of the dual whatsapp....
after trying for 2 day I faint.... is like u need to check whatsapp every hour to see any msg....
now hope software update can fixed this problem.

Settings-Apps, google play services, data usage, swipe down and allow background data. Whatsapp need this perfectly done to make it work fast

Tried Malaysia SIM again on the first Mate 9 available in Singapore. No B158 yet. But correct, some in Low Yat already have B158. Just a matter of days.

I'm so excited, the updates is as fast as Nexus 6P.

I was checking the forums here and on xda developers on the user comments before I bought the phone. The dual whatsapp and dual facebook problems were widely reported. For me it's not a critical feature, so I was not bothered.

Hopefully the new firmware makes it better.

I'm using Mate8 not using dual whatsapp also same problem, messages don't appear till I open the app.

Pro got less battery life, lesser performance because of the higher def. And the fingerprint sensor on the wrong side of the phone. I don't even know why anyone desires the Pro when the normal Mate 9 is true to the `mate' philosophy, and a great great phone.

Oh yeah my bad. Forgot it's the Porsche Design and not pro.

Don't the Pro have better battery life?

how does one disable power-off when it is fingerprint locked?

Do not wish to be rooted or have Cerberus apps, just with android device manager.

I do not wish that it can be power off when i lost my phone.

So you mean the Porsche also has the fingerprint sensor on the wrong side too :eek:

Anyway, having the fingerprint on the front has its advantage when you place your phone on the table.

I feel Mate 9, you have to pick up the phone to unlock phone.

I suppose it got to do with the Pro AMOLED at 5.5" while the non Pro is LCD at 5.9"

Normally AMOLED is more power efficient and in this case, the higher resolution did not work against the savings.

Interestingly, the Pro charges from 2% to full in 90mins while the non pro needs 2hrs
