There is no point using Mini as all it is doing is opeming m.facebook.com in the app. You can go to m.facebook.com in Chrome, tap the 3 dots in top right corner then Add to Homescreen which would essentially give you an app shortcut. You can also turn on notifications for Facebook via Chrome.

This is called Immersive Mode, aka Fullscreen mode for phones which have softkeys which was introduced in Marshmallow . It essentially hides the status bar and navigation buttons. To exit it just swipe down from all the way at the top of your screen or swipe up from the bottom of your screen as if to access the quick toggles on iOS with the calculator flashlight wifi airplane mode auto rotate airplay and all that jazz.

Swipe up from the bottom part of the screen or swipe down from the top part of the screen.

quick question - i bought some mate9 cases off taobao and received quite alot of screen protectors as freebies. there are a few tempered glass protectors but they seem slightly shorter than the protector which came with the phone. if i use those (as they still cover the screen well), there is no halo effect, right? since its smaller than the original protector.

another question - do you guys find it necessary to purchase a screen protector to cover the back of the phone, or the camera lens? there's quite alot of sellers selling this on taobao.

Hey when u use the short cut (down volume double press) to start camera, previously it would show like "0.9secs" to I indicated the camera start up time.

However now I don't have it anymore... How to enable again huh?

OK please ignore.. reset to defaults and the feature came back.

I have recently purchased a 3 pack full coverage anti halo (无白边 as they call it) screen protector for $8 shipped. Will update after application. About the camera protector, I don't think there's anything to worry about if your case has sufficient lift for the camera bump.

Changing display size will affect :s22:

Change display size to large, clear google playstore n play service data and reboot phone, then install and change back font size

hi if you are not using any case cover atm then yes i suggest purchasing a screen protector to paste it over but for the lens take note when u paste the camera lens u will affect the sharpness is a certain way depending on how thick the screen protector is..

samsung used to be a good choice but after the explosion, i think mate9 is the 2nd better choice to go for. :s13:

Fast phone with excellent camera? S7/S7 Edge, but then again S8 is coming s oon. Mate 9 camera is good, but not as good as S7.

Never heard of Mate 9 camera lens cracking unlike the V20 so nothing much to worry about. Putting a piece of glass/plastic over the camera lens will degrade the picture quality especially lower quality ones, but it might or might not be noticeable.
