yup. they have also 1 to 1 screen replacement if u crack ur screen which i find it quite good to be honest

well sooner or later others will do it too, haha this few weeks watching youtube i notice samsung adv keep appearing saying they have tested their battery and they doing very strict qc to it LOL

I wanted to use Pixel Launcher, but can't change the icons using that. So stuck to EMUI with stock android look icons and app drawer on.

The launcher works well enough for me, but I don't like the icons. :/

Using the Google Now Launcher as it's a no frills launcher which is really speedy.

Yep, even if it's your fault, HTC has or had a program like this too I think where they'd replace your screen once for free should it crack, even with user damage. (EDIT: They still have it and it's called the HTC UH OH program which covers water damage too, wow.) I highly doubt water damage is covered though. It warrants the screen, not the whole device.

Screen crack purposely or accidentally within 1st year, warranty valid. Water damage, no.

Anyone found a way to disable the camera shutter sound when taking pic using whatsapp? I've enabled silent mode + DND + camera mute but the shutter sound is still there.

Getting New Phone

Hi all,

Intending to get a new Mate 9 without contract. Have been sourcing from telcos (RRP at $898) and shops from Bugis and Far East Plaza (eg. WhyMobile) ($755).

The price difference makes it so attractive to buy from shops like whymobile or their competitors.
- Anyone has good/bad experiences with these shops?
- I know they are good at selling used phones, but for new phones can I buy from them or I should go to telcos?
- I read that these shops normally selling signed sets, and yet they claim they can provide 2 years local warranty, is the warranty really valid? In this case, how does the warranty work?

Seeking for advise.
