Mate 9 is the best phone I've used thus far and it is snappy. Wont lose sleep over benchmarks if it's fast enough. My previous Xiaomi Redmi Note3 was also fast enuff and I'm sure the budget phone was emmc storage. Every phone I've owned has some problem here and there, sw or hw. No such thing as a perfect phone.

PRC censorship in action. :s13:

Lol..
Btw, isn't there a Huawein representative here on the thread? Last time when people asked Huawei to bring the Mate 9 porsche/pro, it was through that person.

Curious on what he have to say about this issue.

I'm more or less set on getting a huawei. Compared to the S8 or other phone... was getting a feel of the Mate9.. then beo the P10 Plus... looks cool.. So torn between...

S$100 difference... 1 got bigger screen, bigger batt.. 1 got better screen, better ram/storage....

You all run androbench already? I am getting 640mb per sec. Can assume its the higher end configuration.

Actually not that hard. If $100 not a problem get the P10+. If it is, then M9.

Once u get to 5.5" screen and above the benefits are not so obvious vs trade off in size especially one handed users. After 1 week u probably wont notice the actual size concerns with either phone.

4G ram is more than sufficient for today's phone OS so far, 6G ram is not that much use because we don't multitask as much on phones so I consider this a non-issue.

128G storage much more useful especially when taking videos, of course the phones can add sd storage so again this is not a big deal either way.

Battery - unless u are those who super detest charging midway once in a while, both these phones have good to great battery life. Huawei's fast charging is really good so I'd say P10+'s battery life should be decent and top up is fast.

So it comes down to camera. That's the part that cannot be changed and whether u are picky on specs. M9 takes great photos but if you want absolutely best of best and hopes of future software improvements to the p10+ F1.8 camera with superior lens, that's where the money shd be spent.

No one tried benchmarking using androbench? To see if they shortchange u?
Why don't you do it? ppl who bought already are just enjoy using it. There is no benift doing this at all unless huawei already have next action like recall or refund, etc; otherwise it just brings own trouble for nothing.

At least I won't do it, I don't care actually what storage it is using.
