mate 9 vs p10+

hi guys, i know this sounds passe, but anyone here playing pokemon go with your mate 9 or p10+?

i'm thinking of getting these phones.. i'm not really chaser of technology so i don't mind an out-going model if it's cheaper. but knowing that android can be more laggy than iphone, just wanna ask for real world experience for those playing pokemon.

TIA

I contacted Huawei tech support, this is their answer.

This may be a power consumption issue. If the system detects that an app is consuming an excessive amount of power, it will forcefully close the app to extend the device's battery life.

To prevent the system from closing excessively power-intensive apps, go to Settings > Battery, touch the settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen, then disable Close excessively power-intensive apps.

------------

I tried it, and it works. I told Huawei that, this is not the intended use, because the function only supposed to close background apps, but not foreground. They told me that the next firmware release (they are pushing) will remedy the situation.

If truly have an update soon that resolves these issues, pretty impressed with hw response to customer feedback!

Thanks. Useful info. Shall try... Been closing some apps randomly lately after I updated. My wife using Sony Z5P. Experiencing similar issue.

How to get in touch with the technical support? Or are they here in the forum? The software like got bug, sometimes saved contact number will disappear, then later reappear again. Plus the mobile data usage monitoring doesn't have the option for us to input a auto reset date based on billing cycle.

The billing cycle reset issue has been mentioned many times but I doubt Huawei is gonna do anything abt it. Let's hope they implement that feature is the next Android version

It seems that the location services will still work when roaming data and WiFi is both unavailable. For example when in google maps it will still be able to identify the user current location as well as when the user moves. Is this normal? Or is it a connected Telco feature? Don't know if will be charged data usage not.
