They said that the battery mechanism and the screen is connected, so have to change.

Huawei service center quoted me $193.70 to change battery and screen ... coz out of warranty.

I chose not to believe them.... in the end went to neighbourhood shop to change my batttery for 25 bucks.

There is always the danger of non-official battery catching fire.

The price is reasonable considering that it includes the screen. However, the design should allow for just the battery change.

This means that once this current battery deteriorates after 1.5 years, it is more cost effective for me to change my handphone to the latest model.

Yah im still v happy with my Mate 9 and no intention to change it soon

Pics it takes are still as great as day 1

But also already started to think about what happens one day when I need to change

anyone of u got issues with using nfc for simplygo on public transport? it's kinda spotty for me. sometimes it just don't work well n i need to try to tap on another different gantry gate or machine.

Just noticed that my M9 left side got bloated...this is the second time encounter such problem, first time was with the iPhone than went to change the battery...

Upgraded to Emui 9.1 on Mate9. Upgrade process is quite fast. Time to monitor. Hopefully no issues later on. :)
