Guys... the Fast Charge depend on the cable or the charger adapter?

I would like to purchase another charger set to put in the office, but i still have the Samsung note2 adapter, should i get the Micro Type-C cable only?

Is third party adapter&cable reliable? Will it damage my mate 9 's battery?

Since it was irreplaceable, i need to be more cautious.

got it from carousell. used set but few days old. no extras which is fine by me anyway.

only thing i am not used to is the lack of notification details on the notification shade. if i dont pull it down... i wont be able to check what has reached me. i hope they can change that tho i dont have high hopes.

Notification can be changed to the banner type and you do not need to pull down for notification.

banner option? where is that? i went to notification setting and only got option for number or none.

Edit: Found it after poking around. not too bad, reminds me of toast notifications on the mac but with the goodness of android's way of handling notifications (same type of notifications collapsed into 1) as opposed to iOS (endless scrolling).

since my last use of the Mate 7, EMUI has really grown a lot. I can see myself using this phone for a bit. All I need is just the s-pen functionality to complete my life.

when you put on a tempered glass screen protector, do you remove the current plastic version?

I use the original Huawei Leather Flip case yesterday... It was very nice to hold and smooth. However I don't like cover with flip, so I improvised and cut away the flip.

Looks good but not nice to hold anymore due to the clutter edge.

the icons are all displayed as a number. e.g. 1 notif. from FB, 1 from Gmail and 1 from Telegram will be shown as a number 3. There's no app icon. Upon pulling down for the notif. shade do u then see the individual apps. I think this is important to call out for those considering Mate 9.

I personally think its a good thing. before configuring the banner to appear for my chosen app (i really enjoy the granular control that I can set for each app) i was not "disturbed" by other notifs, leaving me to focus on what i was doing. it was quite interesting to notice my usage pattern.

Do you all have yellow tint on the screen?
Mine is at the bottom left of the screen. Wonder if it is the glue that haven't dry up or what.
Perhaps need to use for a week and see how it goes.
