the icons are all displayed as a number. e.g. 1 notif. from FB, 1 from Gmail and 1 from Telegram will be shown as a number 3. There's no app icon. Upon pulling down for the notif. shade do u then see the individual apps. I think this is important to call out for those considering Mate 9.

I personally think its a good thing. before configuring the banner to appear for my chosen app (i really enjoy the granular control that I can set for each app) i was not "disturbed" by other notifs, leaving me to focus on what i was doing. it was quite interesting to notice my usage pattern.

i find it irritating, i'm used to having accuweather tell me the real feel outside. don't have this functionality anymore

Remove it bro, no reason to have the glass protector on top of a plastic protector. Even if you were to apply a glass protector on top of plastic, the glass protector won't stick properly and fall off.
