It's totally acceptable when the screen is warmer if it's evenly spread throughout. For the OCDs issue, it's just the bottom somewhere right above the back button which tend to be more yellowish than the rest of the screen.

i had mine change to temper glass protector at toa payoh hp shop name Blazing, just beside the KFC.

guys, I have confirmed mate 9 is not compatible with starhub VoLTE (at lleast for me)
Maybe other users from other telcos can confirm this too.

Seems like the original cable having extra pins is true.

It's prob using a dual charger system. Meaning the cable have extra 2 pins acting as a 2nd charger. Thus the original adapter supports double the amps of other phone chargers allowing it to draw more.

Check out one of the testing where non original charger and cable is only 1.2amp compared to using original cable and it draws at max 2.1amps.

For car owners like me.. we can try finding a car charger with a port that supports highest amp. Then use original cable for faster charging.
Previously the 5amp car charger someone posted prob wun work as it's likely 5amp across 3 ports.


Another idea that I have... since current adapters what we are using is max 2.1amp. If we have the circuit diagram of original cable and better understanding of its charging system. We can customise a cable where it's 2 ports into a USB type c.

So where every we go. We plug into 2 ports into any multi chargers and can draw more amps avail for the phone. Humm. food for thought.

Prob a better idea will be customise a 2port male into a USB female. Then use original cable.

Then it will have the total amp available to draw. If the 2 ports are 2.1amp each... Then total will be 4.2amp
