Maybe consider other keyboards? The new Gboard by Google is cool. Can Google search directly from keyboard too!

You have to download Google Pinyin Keyboard as well. Then you will be able to switch language easily by just pressing the globe button.

Only downside after b136 update is that we still don't have the option to choose the date to reset our data usage.
