Followed the guide on XDA last week, I was able to download the B158 firmware but received an error message when I tried to install.

Anyway, I was able to update the B158 firmware using the Celcom sim.

Cheers.

Refer below for the FF guide to install B158

Tested successfully install with OTA first and later overwrite Full version from OTA set. No problem.

Looking to change to this phone. My entire family and office are using micro USB cables. Quite an inconvenience for this usb-c. Anyone here faced similar issue and how do u overcome it?

Hi guys,

I'm having some issues with the Mate 9 calls.

The usual procedure for calls is:

1. Press number, press dial
2. Status goes to dialling...
3. Call starts ringing, status goes to Ringing on other phone...
4. Call is connected, quick vibrate and status goes to a timer display
5. Carry on the conversation

However sometimes I encounter the following issues:

1. Press number, press dial
2. Status goes to dialling...
3. Call starts ringing, status goes to Ringing on other phone...
4. Call is connected, no vibrate, status still Ringing on other phone...
5. Other party able to speak and hear me, vice versa as well.
6. Conversation goes on for few seconds and abruptly goes silent.
7. Check the dialling screen, status still on Ringing on other phone...

I presume the call gets connected and I'm able to talk and hear but the phone does not recognize that the call is connected and is still in the Ringing on other phone status. The line goes silent around the time where the phone timeout the call as if it was never connected, which is around 20 seconds later.

Only happens on outgoing calls, incoming so far ok. Happened both on mobile and land lines. Anyone having same problem?
