The battery still works, but not as good as new, I would say 60%, two charges takes me through the day with heavy usage.

But I had some problem few months back, phone will suddenly from 50% to 0% in minutes, went for servicing a few times, they virtually replaced ALL the parts except the phone body.

So I have a 'new' Mate8, new MB, new batt, new screen...

Like that confirm can tank.
Using accubattery app to gauge battery status and health?

Repair chargeable? since the warranty should be over already...

Still under warranty, FOC. Was told at the last service, they have gotten management approval to replace my phone with a new set if repair still give me problem.

It has been working nicely since then...

changed a m10 and m9 screen once each.

even when the replacement cost for m10 back panel was quite reasonable.

Huawei warranty and service centre are really top notched.

when I got my m10 back after lcd, camera and back panel replacement, the compass wasn't working.

and they replaced it for free.

luckily they didn't detect the faulty compass during the diagnostic, if not I'll have to pay for it.

Using mate 9 for 1 yr+ also. The battery too good still can last me a day. The build is solid can take knocks well without damage
I got iphone and mate 9 i prefer the 16:9 aspect ratio and sold my iPhone
However i rooted my mate 9 and now got problem only can detect my sd card 😭. Camera cannot use also
if not i will keep using it. Now looking to buy a new phone with working camera. Not sure if i want mate 10 because i prefer mate 9's design

I truly dont want to praise mate 9.

Just Today i dropped 3 times from height around 1-1.5 metre.

Still strong as always.

Last time i dropped very badly only damage the screen protector
