With the big rise in floor price for M20/pro, makes more sense to replace battery on 18-22mth old M9/M10 by a large margin especially within warranty
I'm also can't decide to get Mate 10 pro, P20 pro or Mate 20 pro. If i get Mate 20 pro, I'll change every 2 yrs like my Mate 9. If i get Mate 10 pro now, I'll change yearly.

Actually decided to not get another Huawei phone, due to the propreitory supercharge technology. I move around, so will have to purchase spare chargers for my devices. I'm now using Anker's 6 ports charger and am only getting normal charging speed for my Mate 9.

Now, I'm only looking at phones that adhere to Qualcomm's QC standard. Until Mate 20X comes along and I'm tempted. LOL..

Can I ask if Huawei phones are compatible with other chargers beside Huawei? I saw someone mentioned that using car charger will damage the battery.

James finished replacing my battery at 313. Warranty is up in December. Thus, decided to change the battery of the phone to prolong its life. Nothing much was said by the staff, just raise support ticket and let me sign it. Told me it would take 2-3 days. But, as I am traveling soon, requested shorter period and also self collect.

In the end, phone sent in about 5 pm, and was sms'ed at about 6 ready for collection. Not charged too. Also, as an unexpected bonus, they changed my screen as well. Was told that nowadays, most phone batteries are connected to screen. That's why they changed it for me. Well, not that I'm complaining it though...

What's the usual warranty? 2 years? Can just walk in to replace?

Mate 9 warranty is 2 years for handset, 2 years for screen accidental damage. IIRC, Mate 9 is last for 2 years warranty for screen accidental damage, from Mate 10 onwards, it's 3 months only.

I'm also surprised that they didn't charge me for the battery as usually battery is covered for 6 months (1 year warranty) or half of the handset warranty. Not that I'm complaining though. :)

Hi can check did they factory reset the whole phone for replacement of battery? All the apps still have? Or like a brand new phone?
