I bought a fake USB c from Lazada and it support Huawei super charge.
As long as the cable is purple color will do.
Example usb 3.0 is blue color so this Huawei one must be purple.

There are a lot of USB c one.

Ofcos adapter must be original Huawei to support 45w.

Nope. There is a chip in the cable to talk with the chip in the supercharger for supercharge. Either 1 of them is not supercharge compatible, your device will not supercharge

i wont play around as it is a 40W super charge and i doubt the savings getting a fake cable compared to a original cable is not alot

Yes. This can be adjusted in the settings function. Takes awhile to find it but I think you can click whether for the notifications to be shown.

Thanks. I tried various permutations but seems to still have the drop down. If I turn notifications off the drop down doesn't happen, but I don't get notified of course.

Huawei don't use QC standard. So cable and charger must be Huawei compatible to get fast charge option.

Ah just saw this. Can anyone show the charging icon when the supercharge is on please? I use the original Huawei cable, but on a qc3 charger and it's still quite fast.

and how much is your that cable? $10? Huawei original super charge cable is $16 sold by huawei official store at lazada. $6 more u get a peace of mind

it is not about whether basic charging or super charging. but it is whether it is worth it to save $6 to $10 on a cable? what can $6 to $10 buy you these days? 2 meals at most? and u take the risk of damaging the battery/phone
