Was looking forward to the P30 (w/o the Pro) but found out it has:

- no wireless charging
- no IP68 rating
- no TOF camera
- no support for 40w super charge 2.0

The Pro version supports all the above but its way too big for my hands notwithstanding, adding on a case will make it ginormous... A real bummer.

Only thing going for the non-Pro (which the Pro does better) is a decent low-light capability.

For now, I'll skip the thought of owning a Huawei. A close one though. :s8:

Trend now is for flagship phones with all the features to have large 6.4" screen. Only way for small hands are 21:9 ratio screen.

I read somewhere that the P30's thumbprint scanner works 20-30% faster than the one on the Mate 20

GSMArena's review mentions the single speaker is still pretty loud, though it obv can't compare with a stereo left/right speaker setup.

Doesn't look like there's any space for a notification LED on the P30, which is unfortunate. Is there one on the Mate 20?

Only? The P series of phones are all about photography, and in that respect Huawei has delivered. The sensor package in the P30 blows away pretty much every phone out there, with a few exceptions.

Hmmm....new mobile phone launched but using 2018 CPU but good that internal storage has a better choice of 128gb or 256gb or 512gb...maybe need to wait to their Mate models for their 2019 CPU.

No choice, but in a way it's not that bad, considering the local Samsungs getting the Exynos.

Even the S10 series with Exynos don't run as fast as the Snapdragon variants, which might put the S10 on par with Kirin 980 in this case.

Not really, Sony has been making phones with IP6X ratings that also comes with headphone jack, only up to Xperia XZ2 and onward where they removed the jack.

There's no FM radio on Huawei P30 even though there's headphone jack. That makes no sense. Is it got to do with oled Display?

I can confirm both P30 and P30 Pro doesn't produce stereo speakers.

I was there...from 9am to 12pm for the phone.the sale starts at 11am. and another 3 hours for the free gifts.

Prior to it, they required to check if u have valid pre-reg ib or order for it to be eligible to q

If not from Telco, perhaps better to buy from lazada (if dont mind the freebies
..and appears only channel now)
