Anyone having problems keeping apps running in the background?

My whatsapp seems to be not running in background despite not putting it in any power saving modes or whatever. Incoming messages always never alert me, they only update when I manually open whatsapp

For me is all those apps that were long not used, and once in a while it will just fail to notify.

For me things like SimplyGo notifications of the fare cost at end of the trip doesn't notify.

My son went to childcare the notification doesn't show up when my parents send in.

I think it's a concern. Cause Huawei put apps into deep sleep that is to save battery. But problems arise when there is a notification, it doesn't get pushed.
