Got link? And yes definitely a good upgrade. I upgraded from m20p and was super happy. Battery life is actually better cause p20p is fhd max while m20p is qhd.i set to auto resolution so can't see a diff.
The camera zoom is also awesome. 40w charge is big step up!

This might be a bit bias because I am writing in a Huawei phone thread but I do not know which is the most suitable thread to put this enquiry in.
I am currently out of contract and is considering between 3 phones. (or 4 if u consider the variant)
Oppo Reno 2, Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei P30 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10
I am currently using an Oppo Phone, I have no issues with it except its battery life.
I think the phones I highlighted are all on the higher end of the phone products but I am those type of people that do not like to change phones so very often.
So originally I was planning on getting back an Oppo phone but Sales people advise to consider Huawei P30 Pro, because of the much better Leica lens camera and 50x zoom. (though I am sceptical if I truly ever need to zoom so far out - probably a nice luxury to have but will hardly use)
If I choose the Huawei P30 Pro though, what I am most concerned with is that google will no longer support Huawei or something like that because Trump banned Huawei. So I am concerned that:
1. P30 pro has no google chrome and google playstore built in (I forgot to ask the sales person)
2. After future updates, there will be no more updates for whatever apps and common programs. I am not sure if not being supported by android or google will adversely affect the phone usage in future.
3. I use this app called a color note for storing some of my info and would like this info to be transferred from my old phone to new one. Will there be any problems?
4. And I am using whatsapp and other application called Zalo. (so will usage be affected in future if Android no longer support Huawei??
And to complicate things, I read that Huawei P40 pro is being launched already. (it says 26 Mar 2020 online but probably not in Singapore) But I understand that P40 pro will not be supported by android or google any more. But the tech stuff, the battery life are all much better than P30 Pro. And since the launch date is so close to today, I wondered if I should wait. But the sales said the offer on hand will only last till Friday, 27 Mar 2020.
I think the current offer is decent (they were offering around $400 for the phone) but at $70 a month for unlimited calling out (which is very important to me) and unlimited sms and only 3GB of data (which is surprisingly less important to me currently as I watched little online videos but I do play this game called Hearthstone quite a lot).
I might add that the above offer are for 2 lines. which is suitable for me currently.

are you referring st SingTel $70/mth plan?
p30 pro is the last p series to have GMS supported and colornotes can be synced even without GMS anyway.
if you don't need Google pay, can just sideload GMS to p40 pro, the apps can be updated through play store

In what way is it considered a super sale? I know retail is selling $1000+ without contract but I will be paying $70 x 24 months anyway.

street price for p30 pro probably $700-750 brand new sealed, only at those 3rd party reputable shops or carousell..p40 isn't the first phone that Google banned
like I said , if you don't need Google pay/McDonald app,high chance you can sideload GMS to p40 pro
no problem with p30 pro as it is the last p series to have GMS installed into the phone, can just use the phone till the warranty ends in 2 years..
you just have to prioritize what functions you want in a smartphone

P30 pro or the reno 2. Cause of the 2 years warranty.
I'm on the 10x zoom before my p30 pro.
Cant complain on oppo. I love the tap to sleep function though.
I took the Pro because of the 'extened' battery and its just 80-100 price difference.
I thought about the idea of not using the 50x but when u do, you will thank yourself for getting the Pro.

Thanks for all the replies. After hearing from all of u, it seems that P30 Pro is definitely a decent buy.
I just had 1 last concern. And it is to clarify my confirmation that I can use google search engine and access google playstore and use google apps and watch youtube and that all the programs are pre-installed in the phone.
And
if the google upgrades or updates the apps and search engine, I will not come by a scenario where I will no longer be able to use google and the rest of the apps because google and Huawei are not allowed to be working together because of the ban from the US government?

Forgot, how about waiting out for P40 Pro since it isaround these few days that it will be launched? Any one knows what is the average price for P40 Pro?

As mentioned, if you are fine without google pay, can consider p40 pro since you can most likely sideload it with GMS
Maybe can get an used set p30 pro at $580 to play with it? Got google and all, can auto update the apps upon new update,and all.
