Not boybands lah! :s22: I means Spicegirls :o

But seriously Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Richard Marx, Pet Shop Boys, Bon Jovi , Seal and U2 this kind lah.

ROFL! Imagine Westlife and Backstreet boys with unnaturally sharp treble, that would be epic :s13::s13::s13:

But among the ones you mention which one is the most proned to the trebles you mentioned?

Stereo should read this thread and download the many links of free hi-res music that I posted to put inside their DX100 sample units.

Oh the link! Now you reminds me, gonna download them for my J3, though i think it won makes as much difference it makes on the DX100~ =:p

Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, but I think it is more due the fact that I used to listen them on low-fi gears back in the 90s and 2000s. These gears were not able to resolve the FULL extension of their "screams".. especially on Celine Dion's the power of love.. it is really a  to hear her back on the DX100, can really pierce your ears gao gao. :o

care to share in more detail as to the reason?

I'm not an audiophile so I will skip the part of warm sound etc............

Hifiman sounds more hifi like and better to me than the DX100.

Another reason, for a Hifiman owner, a new DAP must have at least a 20% sound improvement for me to take the switch over to the DX 100. Well, DX100 don't give me that.

The DX100 to me is a much more analytical player instead of a fun and more fun sounding in my opinion. :D The DX100 serves me well so I'm sticking to it.:s12:

One more thing that caught my attention was that 24bit-192khz is still supported through the optical out, which is something which its competitors can't do. Correct me if I'm wrong.:s22:

Don't you mean nobody can do at the moment for a player this size?

Another tip:

Go download "NO LOCK" from Google Play store, instant access to your player without doing that annoying unlock thingy.
