I seldom encounter skipping but I do get this problem where the music player just stops after playing for a while.

I emailed ibasso regarding my random skipping and they say if after updating the imminent firmware 1.07 (to be released this week) still have this problem than consider DOA.

After rooting and tweaking memory and cache, no more skipping issues. But with certain VBR mp3 have issues.

have you try doing a factory reset in the settings?

Guys, go try this track(flac version) on your DX100, it really shows you why the DX100 is worth ~S$1k.

yes, factory reset done. but still have some skipping

Lags yes for up to 10sec or so. But no hangs after factory reset + rooting + optmization.
