Bro, 11200mah is great. But if I am not wrong, the voltage is important. What is the voltage for ipad and galaxy tab? Any bro/sis here can verify please?

Voltage for iPad is 5v but will need 1A minimum current to charge.

Dx100 requires 12v,500ma. 12v means only the engerizer xp8000 can charge it.

Hi all, while I am surfing this site and writing this, am listening to my DX100 with TF10. Now I don't find this such great anymore as compared to when I just got them. Why? Ever since I got the HiFiman HE400 that is. The sound of the HE400 is really enjoyable. Haven't found such great enjoyment with my music for a long time, since I started traveling very frequently one year back. Now my home system is kind of like white elephant... But to listen to the HE400, I need to adjust the gain to the highest, and volume at around 190-200 in order to enjoy the good sound. I can't wait to go back and use the HE400 on my home system. Another good thing is, while traveling, I can still purchase/download great music of high-res from website such as Linn, Presto Classical etc...

At home, I will pair my DX100 to the O2 amp via line out, in my opinion, the O2 amp sounds quite alot better than using the DX100's internal amp. The improvements in deep soundstage and the dark slient background is unbeatable. You should give the DX100/O2amp/HE400 combo a try

how to argue
he havent tried the z1070

btw all have what we call the house sound signature

personally i love my cowon for its flat freq
and more importantly the battery life
tempted by dx100 but its just the battery life that puts me off

And in my "honest" opinion (and I had tried the HM-801 and C4 before getting DX100), C4, HM-801 and DX100 are all about the same level of performance, none of which really outshines the others by a huge margin. They have their own strengths and weaknesses and suit different people's preferences. Frankly speaking, I am not the least bit interested in your "honest" opinion because that is coming from your own preference and I consider that as biased, just as biased as mine for DX100.

If behwatch thinks that the Z1070 is better than DX100 (and likely C4 and HM-801 as well since I THINK they are on the same level), that's completely fine but what he commented on the bass and sound stage, contradicts what other owners of DX100 and myself are hearing and thus I am wondering what tracks did he listen to and the equipment he is pairing with the DAP. A pity that you can only interpret that I am belittling the C4 and get so defensive about it.

i am not defensive. its the way u phrase C4 and others is like saying "aww man those sucks to the max"

i am giving a neutral opinion...

i also love Cowon for its battery life! how i wish i could put the battery into the C4...

i think the DX100 is the best with another amplifier but not by itself though...like what others have said about it.

i know the batt of dx100 heats up like the hifi-man though...my friend said it felt like a heated iron! haha

Hi yes I haven't got a chance to try out the DX100 connected to my amp. Just returned to Singapore and got myself a silver (maybe plated) line out cable. Will try it out with my home amp, which is tube based.

My opinion is if the focus is all on the sound I believe the DX100 is tops. If as a single portable player I say the DX100 is tops again. If the focus is on Battery life, price, and picking songs such as creating a song list the DX100 is at the bottom.

My personal DX100 is very smooth now after the 1.17 update. Loving it more and more actually. I really like the sound although some other stuff can be improved but the sound makes up for everything else.

Looking forward to test the Hifiman HM901 too

Imagine if you can select the sound sig from the different firmwares as an EQ option or something. LOL!!!

I think I still like the sound sig from 1.0.3 as an overall, but 1.1.7 is really the best overall in terms of usability and sound sig.

That's the case for most people maybe I'm one of the rare ones who like the sound on the 1.1.7 as well. I can't agree further though that the usability on the 1.1.7 update is so much better. Let's look forward to the next update! :D

We will look into it but it mostly depends if there is a local distributor for the HM901.

Customs wise it still depends. :)

The HDP-R10, Japanese version of DX100, is scheduled to be available for sale on 30th of August. In addition of all the known supported formats, the R10 is also confirmed to support DSD(DSF). Also available are the aluminium alloy monoblock which also acts as a cable manager - "Nrmb" and a silicon jacket. The silicon jacket should be selling for 2,000 yen, no pricing is known for the monoblock yet. The R10 will be selling for about 1.4K SGD

I will want to get the monoblock and jacket :D

Do you mean the R10 or the monoblock? :D

I had asked iBasso and confirmed that it is not available from them, thus I will need to find some way to get it from Japan.
