btw, i know why on the lenovo website i dont see the amazon check out.

lenovo allow using amazon check out if you order only 1 (aka single) item.

the reason mine dont have is because i choose to extend the warranty to 3 years. if its default 1 year warranty. will be able to use amazon checkout.

Congrats on the X220.

Open the ram cover below the laptop and see. There are 2 slots, 1 usually taken up.

yea, there are 2 slot below...one should be taken up....
Mine default is samsung ram...i added another kingston 4gb in

As for RAM issue, two different brands can mix? Any RAM speed I need to look out for while purchasing?

help help. My T61p of 3.5years up lorry liao. Was working fine this morn, then decided to update AVG before shutting down system. Left it there and go for lunch. After came back the laptop cannot boot up liao. everytime i try to start, it will give a beeeeeeeeep beep beep sound. cannot access think vantage as well. Tried reinstalling the rams but it dint help. anyone help? no money for new lappy....

wats TPM arh? There was no display. The indicators show the lappy went to sleep.

Can mix. It is fine. Just that the faster RAM will be under clocked to run at a slower speed.

Usuaully, I get Kingston RAMs for my laptops though they might not necessary be the best out there. Lifetime warranty.

I cant remember which shop I asked liao. I only remember it is at Level 4, one of the backlane shops specializing in repair (quite big shop).

I bought some parts for my T61 from this company: Vital Computers, #04-36, SLS. Maybe u can try them?
