X1 Carbon already available in Lenovo shops.
i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD - $2399
i7, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD - $2999

Win8 notebooks won't be available yet. only from Nov onwards.
but you can buy a Win7 notebook now and get free upgrade to Win8Pro - have both licences better isnt it?

Current X1 Carbon no 3G support, as first batch not ready for IDA approval. if you want X1 Carbon with 3G, properly have to wait for end of the year refresh

Thanks for your information.

Like that i will wait.

Win8 preload and upgrade is quite a different from my previous Win7 experiance. Is better to wait for Win8 pre-load.

Dear all,
I'm a novice.
Anybody knows how to buy a thinkpad laptop from the online shop of US Lenovo? Because it is much cheaper than in Singapore outlets. Does it need US credit card?

AddOn do have the X230 Tablet available for order. but now singapore warehouse dun keep stocks, need to indent.

otherwise, they are taking pre-orders for a ThinkPad Edge S230u tablet with Windows 8 coming in end Oct or early Nov. price would be much lower than regular X230 tablet.

X220 also still available @ AddOn also, not sure about other stores.

Currently Lenovo warehouse no stock for i7/4GB/256GB. Only i5/4GB/128GB is available.

However, i7/8GB/256GB with 3G is coming soon. Estimated ETA is 2-3 weeks. Probably 3k region. It can be lower than that though. :D

X1 Carbon with 8GB RAM may be coming in mid or end Nov.

if you want accessories like AC, docks etc, look for AddOn. most other dealers do not know much about ThinkPad options.

Does anyone know how long the warranty is for the X1 Carbon and how much it is to go for 3 years + Accidental Damage Protection(I assume this is available in SG?)

X1 Carbon comes with 3 Years Onsite Warranty. If you would like to upgrade to 3 Years ADP, it will cost about $160. I think if you purchase the Ultrabook and ADP together, we should be able to get slightly lower price for the ADP.

Sorry, I made a mistake. The price above is for Thinkpad. For X1, there is a separate pricing.

From 3 Years onsite upgrade to 3 Years ADP + 3 Years Sealed Battery Replacement, it costs $222.
