Unlikely I will fix it , had a ssd change, ram updates and cooler changed in the last few years... will sell it and get another thinkpad.

X220 is really hardly.....but the battery life is about 4hrs + max

If you're not opposed to the idea of a personal refurbishment (with the high availability of disassembly guides and manuals).

A replacement fan + thermal paste + replacement speaker should chalk up to no more than $20 with shipping inclusive on taobao (check the Lenovo CRU/FRU IDs). + Isopropyl alcohol from retail pharmacy total bill of materials should be <S$30, maybe add an inexpensive paintbrush for dusting small areas..

+ Servicing time required. But this also depends on personal proficiency with DIY-repairs.

If the machine lacks an SSD, its also a good upgrade option. They're at about 40-50cents/GB currently if you don't mind the drive cloning or reinstallation of windows.

pity. if you dont really need a brand new laptop, like just use at home or smth, can consider refurbished ones, think qoo10 got a few.
my x220 leave at home to use, bought new ultrabook to bring to sch.

For me, not comfortable with buying batteries off taobao for safety precautions, other components won't mind buying though these stuff are usually genuine.

Another reason why buying a model where there the battery is a swappable CRU that can be bought directly from web store is important (classic models in T/X series). Best of luck though :(.

If anyone is keen on getting repair / replacement parts for their Thinkpad can drop me a PM. Will try to help out as much as possible.

Eg. LCD / Keyboard / Systemboard / Battery / Upgrade HDD to SSD

Thinkpad 13 gen 2

Not sure it's from the wifi card, ram, ssd or processor

Identify the area with my finger , might be a bad ram

Hi, guys

I got a t410 and I got some issue with it. Cannot turn on, keyboard light does flicker on and off. Can see the cd drive light blink.

I can tell that it's trying to boot but cannot boot. What's the possible issue?:(

Thanks

Try using external display same issue?

Try to jump start it by removing the cmos batt and plug in ur ac adapter. If it doesn't work might be board faulty.
